On our road trip .... Parthenay ..... lots of choice .... random selection of L'Oasis. First when we went inside it was BUSY ... good sign. Lovely couscous, tender lamb. All in all enjoyable. View all feedback.
What Michael Thistlethwaite dislikes about L'oasis:
Went for lunch a few days ago. We ordered the dish of the day, which was steak and chips in a chalot sauce. The food was nicely cooked but the steak wasn't great quality. They were also busy so service was slow they would have benefited from an addition to the waiting staff as there was too much work for kne person. Perfectly good lunch but not one I'd rush back for. Very nice welcome for this very warm restaurant. couscous is very copied and the very fine semolina. we have been regaled.
A different experience for Sunday lunch in France, the Mediterranean /Tunisian /Moroccan cuisine was delicious. The lamb, creole rice, fine couscous up to expectations. We were well looked after by a smiling Romanian girl and the chef was from Sénégal.

Very good couscous, very well served. The welcome and service are perfect, I recommend it 100%.
