We were the first customers to arrive when the restaurant opened at 5:30. We received a warm welcome and were seated in a cozy corner booth. My mother ordered the filet and raved about how delicious it was, while I opted for their signature coq au vin, which I absolutely loved. When we told our server we wanted to indulge in the raspberry soufflé for dessert, I was blown away by how incredible it was. Now, I wish we... View all feedback.
What Chele Hipp doesn't like about Le Coq Au Vin:
Oh, how the mighty have fallen! Paper menuS, paper tablecloths, cheap art on the walls, bacon bits in the onion tart, no poisson bronze, NO CHOCOLATE SOUFFLÉ, and a truly terrible Crepes Suzette substitute. A good for the average diner restaurant that was once excellent for the discerning diner. View all feedback.
For me, the handful of times I 've been here, I 've had the best start to finish meal. You know how you usually are like oh that was the best x I 've ever had ? Yep. Like that but start to finish. Staff is always so welcoming and helpful. Just love this place. Chef specials are where it 's at btw. Take the leap. It 's worth it.
I've lived in Orlando all my life, dined at Le Coq Au Vin numerous times. Always has been one of my favorite restaurants, NEVER a bad meal....until tonight. The server started out by saying what they didn't have available no soufflés, which was like a dagger to my heart as they are the stuff dreams are made of), no pork tenderloin, and no Bronze fish on the paper menu which is not the norm). I ordered the scallops $38.50). I received 6 chewy scallops, 4 skinny spears of asparagus, and a cookie dough scoop size of some sort of potatoes. The crusty French bread and butter was the best part of the meal. Since I couldn't order a soufflé the excuse was that they were short kitchen help and no one knew how to prepare them), I ordered cream brûlée. The top was the usual crunchy that one would expect, but the inside was soupy. Very sub par meal for this restaurant....very disappointing. My 2 friends that were with me were also very disappointed. I hope it's just a fluke, as really really love this restaurant usually)
My wife had the beef tenderloin and I had the pork schnitzel, both recommended by our fantastic waiter. The schnitzel is so perfectly seasoned and the tenderloin was like butter. Then we each got a soufflé, a chocolate and Grand Marnier. Neither of us had ever had one before, but everything about them was perfect! Everything left a wonderful taste that made us feel so warm inside. Thank you for the wonderful experience. We're so excited to come back again!

This was our first visit, and it certainly won't be our last!
The service was outstanding, and the food was exceptional. They have a great selection of wines and the desserts were absolutely delicious.
