Grill 164 - Oconomowoc
Grill 164
Description
A beloved casual spot in Waukesha County, Grill 164 is known for an acclaimed fish fry, hearty steaks, burgers and potato pancakes, a lively long bar, and friendly, attentive staff who make celebrations feel special. Regular nightly specials and reliable takeout draw crowds, though experiences vary: some guests report uneven cooking, inconsistent portions, occasional service slip‑ups, limited wheelchair access and spotty air conditioning. Overall it’s a welcoming, down‑home destination for seafood lovers, families and groups, with room to improve kitchen consistency and accessibility.

I had a fantastic evening trying the prime rib special. The meat was cooked to perfection, and the vegetables were deliciously buttery. The service was also quick and friendly.
Stopped in for fish tonight after our walk around town. How can a fish fry type place get themselves out of bread? 2nd time this has happened to us here. Food just okay, nothing special. 2 fairly small pieces of fish, and 3 2 x 3 potato pancakes. Salads are good. Waiter brought back wrong change, in their favor. Warm day in July, not much for AC.Disappointed.
Fish fry is always fantastic! Service is always spectacular. Wheelchair accessibility: Could be a little better with the entrance in the back, the first doorway has a 3 lip which makes it difficult to get wheelchairs over.
