The Ainsworth - Feedback
Reviews
Was Kristie Valerie Hoang at The Ainsworth a mag?
I went for my birthday for the infamous 24k gold wings, and they did not disappoint. Fun atmosphere and music. The mac and cheese burger was delicious as well. Fair prices, and good service staff. Great experience. View all feedback.
What Susan dislikes about The Ainsworth:
Very nice place but extremely loud went to watch sports and the music played during commercials was deafening… not sure if anyone working there has eardrums left. View all feedback.

Kind of an odd first time visit. We made a reservation on OT, and the restaurant called to confirm, and we said yes we would be there. When we got to the restaurant they had a sign out front stating that there was a private event going on. Two big bouncers were standing out front, and it felt more like the entrance of a club, and one for which we were not invited. The doormen were not helpful at all, and I had to show them our reservation on my phone to get in (we almost just left). We went inside and the place was mostly empty. Everything else ok, but it sure was not very inviting, and as if they did not really care if they were full or not. They could probably double their revenue just by a friendlier front door situation.
Restaurant is boarded up. Should not be accepting and confirming reservations
This place is a joke. I made a reservation and the reservation was confirmed the day before. I showed up at the restaurant and it was closed.
The Ainsworth Chelsea was not open for my reservation. This is despite Open Table taking a deposit of $10 a person before arriving. Poor experience from both the app and vendor.
The restaurant was closed there was no notice and we was stuck out in the freezing cold
The restaurant in question seems to have left a mixed impression on its patrons. From confusing reservations and uninviting bouncers at the entrance to lackluster service and questionable quality of drinks, some customers were left feeling disappointed and unimpressed. The empty state of the restaurant during peak hours and the loud music further added to the unusual and confusing atmosphere. However, there were some positive notes, such as the better than expected chicken caesar salad. Overall, the restaurant left many wondering about its identity and purpose, with a need for improvement in various aspects to create a more welcoming and cohesive dining experience.

Went to watch basketball before a concert. Very loud for a Sunday afternoon.
The table saved for us was not big enough for the party we reserved a month ahead of time. People were standing

This restaurant let me make an Opentable reservation even though it is currently closed.
Not impressed at all I thought you couldn’t go wrong in NYC but this place proved me wrong. Food was mediocre, vibe was mediocre..had to run to a coffee shop to grab coffee and wake up. Would not recommend this to anyone…

Really unfortunate that my friends and I got called racial slurs here and the manager said they had no power to reprimand said clientele. We went on Halloween 2022 and were verbally accosted by patrons of Ainsworth Chelsea, but management said thatbecause they had paid for a table, there wasn't anything the bar could do. It's unacceptable, frankly, that an establishmentwould turn such a blind eye to racism and tolerate such repugnant behavior. Money talks, and we definitely won't be back.
The vibe at the Ainsworth is fun. It is more like a sports club, akin to Bounce, than a typical sports bar. Ainsworth has all the TVs to show all the NFL games on Sundays. The music is fun and there are separate bottle service areas. Why three stars? The service is awful. I have been there a few times hoping it was better before posting this review but it's consistently bad. The bartenders often lose their place in the rotation and are rude. Lastly, there is next to no
Decent food, frustrating experience. Mac Cheese burger looked amazing, tasted good. Korean short rib tacos bland, could be they were too cold from sitting out, as elaborated below. Weekday 9pm. The only way to order food was through the two bartenders. Waited at the bar 10 min before I could place my order. Told it would be served at the bar where I ordered it. That area was too crowded for my friend, so we sat at the nearest table with direct line of sight to
Saw a picture of the gold dusted wings about a year ago and decided I wanted them the next time I was in New York. Got the venue, get seated and my friend and I each order 10 wings at $45 per order. We ask the waitress if we can get all drums and flats as we each had a preference. She told us we could only get flats.... I ask a staff member and he was as perplexed as I was. He then assured me we would get an even number of both, ok. We then asked for some Grand
