This café in a charming village is really lovely. Even though it was packed, the manager kindly allowed us to sit in a section that was usually closed off. The service was speedy and efficient. The cream teas were generous and tasty. My son raved about the chips that came with his toastie, saying they were the best he's ever had. The kids were a bit let down that their milkshakes were made with powder or syrup rather than being thick shakes, but to be fair, they weren't advertised as such. The assortment of cakes all looked mouthwatering, but unfortunately, we were too full to give them a try.
We decide that breakfast out would be a treat on the morning of our 55th wedding anniversary. Steff’s was the first place that sprung to mind, so off we went. It wasn’t too busy when we arrived at 9.15 so we sat overlooking the outdoor displays of Fairweathers. We ordered one vegetarian breakfast and one Beaulieu breakfast which you will see on the picture. Not only were they beautifully presented and served but they were clearly freshly cooked along with tea and coffee and toast. It was the treat we had imagined thanks to all at Steff’s.
Have frequented this restaurant for some years now and normally had good service. Today is Sunday and as the minutes continue to tick by, still no breakfast 45 mins now Politely asked for another coffee while waiting but that hasn’t happened. 46 mins and a burnt breakfast bap has just arrived with an undercooked egg. Servers are working hard but were not told of chef problems. We have recently moved to the area but won’t be coming back. After 47 minutes we got a refund for the breakfast bap only. Maybe I should charge for 46 minutes of my life.
The rude lady running the place needs to go on a management class how to talk to customers. I can understand the place was busy but twice she was rude to us.. to the point we cancelled our order and ate at a lovely cafe on the High Street. Have been here before.. not again save your money and visit other places nearby where the ambience is more relaxed staff know how to treat customers.. waiting staff just rude lady behind bar..
Fantastic experience. The restaurant has a stylish and modern atmosphere. The staff is very friendly and the service is efficient. The menu offers a great variety of options and the food is delicious. Prices are reasonable. Overall, it is definitely worth a visit. We will be back and will be recommending it to our friends.
