What Taya Brakus doesn't like about Chicken Express:
Second time in two weeks it has been something wrong with the chicken. Last week I was given old chicken but I returned it. Showed the young lady and asked her doe this look pleasing and she said no ma’am. Now today I can’t eat more than two bites off a wing and it is full of salt. The service at this restaurant is severely lacking. When I arrived, there were 10 cars in the drive-thru line, so I decided to go inside where I found 4 other groups waiting to place their orders. Unfortunately, there was no cashier available and it took 7-8 minutes before any employee acknowledged the customers. When someone finally came to take orders, they simply handed out stars to indicate who was next, rather than communicating verbally. This confusion repeated for the next two customers, who left without placing an order. When it was finally my turn, I asked for a Combo meal only to be told it would take 15-20 minutes because they were still making more food, despite it being only 6:30pm, well before the usual dinner rush. Frustrated by the wait, I decided to leave and try Raising Cane's instead, where I was served in just 8 minutes despite there being ten cars ahead of me. It's disappointing that this restaurant's service was so poor, especially considering their food is typically good.
I have visited this restaurant three times now and each time they have informed me that they are out of liver and gizzards for the night. It is frustrating that they do not update their signs or simply inform customers that they do not have these items available. When I called to inquire about their availability, no one answered the phone. The drive-thru staff member had beads in her hair, which seemed unprofessional. Additionally, the portion sizes of the dishes I ordered were disappointingly small, especially considering the $14 price tag. Even my eight-year-old child has bigger portions than what I received.
Absolutely terrible customer service at the Nacogdoches Franchise. I will never dine here again. The food is never fresh, and they become upset when you politely request it to be cooked fresh. This restaurant should be shut down. I will be getting my chicken from Popeyes from now on.
Only there are 2 stars because the ride thru lady was super beautiful. For extra gravity paid and not received. I baked potatoes and engraving and there was no engraving on both. Also there were absolutely no forks or napkins in our pocket. Almost $30 for all these mess-ups.
I was a regular before the pandemic but since then Chicken Express has gone downhill. Service is poor and orders wrong pretty often. Went thru the drive-through yesterday and took my box home. They gave me okra rather than fries but worse than that, my cup of tea had no ice in it. That was a mistake made on purpose if you ask me. And the meal that was $8.32 is now $10.81 to boot. Take your business elsewhere!
