Stanfield's - Muscle Shoals
Stanfield's
Description
Stanfields, formerly O'Bryans, continues to evoke a spectrum of dining experiences. Guests commend the friendly service, particularly from attentive staff. The food has its admirers, especially the well-prepared salads and desserts, though some dishes fall short, with inconsistencies in cooking and quality noted—like overcooked burgers and poor drink performances. The atmosphere is enhanced by a recent renovation, yet discrepancies in pricing and portions have raised eyebrows. While many leave satisfied, others suggest seeking alternatives for a consistently better meal. Overall, Stanfields remains a work in progress with potential, if you can navigate its ups and downs.

The food and service at this restaurant are fantastic. There is a diverse selection of dishes on the menu, and the salad bar is excellent.
I really like the fact that they have a good sized salad bar! (Not big enough in my opinion...I like to make a meal out of my salad! But all of the ingredients were fresh!
I've tried a few different menu items and have not been disappointed. Everything has been great! The salad bar is awesome but the house salad is good and a bit cheaper option. The jalapeño Margarita is the best if you like to spicy it up a bit.
This large local steak joint is on the outskirts of Muscle Shoals, where you turn off the River Rd to get to the RTJ courses. Nothing fancy here don't expect ala carte house giganto prime beef. But their steaks were juicy, lightly seasoned, properly cooked, tasty. There was also a fresh varied salad bar for a slight up charge. Our cheese fries app was well done but an unnecessary order on my part, as all our entrees (all about $15) were bountiful delicious. The 3 of us thoroughly enjoyed our choices, incl a pounder sirloin, a petite filet, a ribeye, large fried butterflied shrimp, tender, smoky baby back ribs. No room for dessert but cakes pies were available. Also plenty of brewskies to choose from for those thirsty as well as hungry. Great local establishment.
Just east of Wilson Dam Road about six miles out River Road at the Ford City four-way stop sign, sets a country looking building that houses one of the better steakhouses in the Shoals area. Stanfield’s Steakhouse has been around since 1999 and original was branded as a O’Bryans Steakhouse a regional independently owned franchise operation), it is locally owned and family operated. The building originally was a corner market and gas station before being converted to a restaurant operation several years ago. The rustic exterior of the building is equaled by the nostalgic decorations inside the restaurant with antique and vintage signs and other decorations. It reeks of down home country style and it makes you feel right at home in a uniquely casual style restaurant. On a recent weekend we decided to visit an old favorite Stanfield’s Steakhouse since it had been several months since we had last visited due to all of the new restaurants opening in Florence and our wanting to give all of them a try. When we arrived we were greeted by the hostess and promptly shown to a table and within a few moments a young lady named Lisa arrived with menus and took our drink order. Debra ordered her usual Diet Coke and I ordered my usual, unsweet tea $2.25) with lots of extra lemon. Lisa left us to peruse the menu while she went to prepare our drinks which didn’t take too long. Lisa returned with the drinks and asked if we were ready to order which we were, I might add that Lisa passed the “lemon test” with flying colors since she brought 6 extra pieces of lemon with my tea. Debra ordered the 5 oz. Filet Mignon, medium, with onion rings and a trip to the salad bar $3.50). I ordered the 14 oz. Ribeye, $17.00), medium, steak fries and a trip to the salad bar also . Stanfield’s salad bar is always nicely stocked with all the usual favorite salad bar items. The kitchen staff works diligently to keep it full and tidy and we’ve never been disappointed with the quality of items
