Grumpy Troll Brew Pub - Mount Horeb

I took my Grandson. Daughter and son in law after going through Cave Of The Mounds to your establishment for lunch. Food, service, waitress, beer was absolutely fantastic!!! We are from Rockford Illinois yuck). I wish we lived in the area of Mount Horeb, nice town. I had homemade clam chowder soup and homemade cornbread muffin, that was the best soup and muffin I have ever had. My 7 year old grandson said” papa that’s the best burger and fries I’ve ever had anywhere. My daughter and son in law said pretty much the same comments. Our waitress was a very sweet young lady and great at her job. Our bill was about $63. I gave her a $20 tip because she was so good at her job. I wish we lived closer so I could visit there frequently. Again, AWESOME FOOD, BEER, AND SERVICE. WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!!!!

4-19-24The 3 rating is just for my order. I ordered the fish taco which was actually a thin slice of fish served in a hoagie bun. I did not enjoy it at all. My side was broccoli which was quite cool. I would suggest a taco is a taco. Bread does not compute.With that being said, I believe this is a one time occurrence. The other two with me really enjoyed their food. Our waitress was a sweetheart. My husband had the root beer and loved it. Still one of our favorites in Mt Horeb

Had a great meal starting with the Grumpy Chips and dip. It's not easy to make homemade chips and theirs were crispy and well seasoned. The French dip was flavorful and tender, reminding me of my childhood. My daughter had the beer cheese soup which she described as delicious. Our server was patient and made sure we had what we needed, making suggestions too.

1st time here at Grumpy Troll. The bar tender Addison was awesome, super friendly. Great food will be back.

Beer was fantastic. Food was a little plain, overall would recommend.
