Chilichan - Morong
Chilichan
Description
Tucked in Morong, this roomy, family-friendly kainan shines with Filipino comfort food—halo-halo, ube halo-halo, pancit, chopsuey con lechon and crispy sisig—paired with warm service, pleasant atmosphere and free, ample parking. Prices are affordable to mid-range, making it a reliable lunch or dinner spot. Drawbacks include bland coffee, a sour siomai experience for one reviewer, and a policy limiting senior discounts to dine-in only. Overall, a well-loved local choice for hearty dishes and desserts, with room to refine beverages and takeout policies.

HONEST REVIEW ONLY: The place is decent, but the coffee and food (siomai) didn't meet expectations. We originally planned to visit Café Cisco for their delicious coffee priced at just over 65 pesos, but it was closed. So, we gave this restaurant a shot since it looked appealing. We ordered an iced mocha and a café latte for 120 pesos, as well as siomai for 80 pesos (4 pieces) and rice for 20 pesos. Unfortunately, the coffees were very bland, and the siomai had a slightly sour taste. Given the prices, which are higher than other places that offer better food, it was disappointing. I hope you can improve the quality of your coffee and food. Since we only tried the siomai, it's difficult for us to recommend or consider coming back after having issues with both the siomai and coffee.
I highly recommend this restaurant! The communication was excellent, and their customer service was top-notch. The pancit was incredibly delicious. We will definitely be ordering from them repeatedly!
I ordered pancit for takeout and attempted to use my dad's Senior Citizen discount, but I was confused when I was told it wasn't allowed. I was informed that the discount only applies to dine-in customers. I don't understand the reasoning behind this. According to RA 9994, Senior Discounts should be available for both dine-in and takeout. Please look into this issue, as it's unfair to have your own rules when other restaurants comply with the law.
I love the ambience. Nice and neat and simple. The food is just right but you won't be able to find it again. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: ₱200–400 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5 Parking space: Plenty of parking Parking options: Free of charge parking lot
