I ordered dinner for six people and found the portions to be generous, except for the ribs. All the food was served hot, but the chow mein and Chinese vegetables both tasted very similar. It is a decent option to have as a backup, but overall nothing extraordinary.

The staff is kind, fri... read more We tried this restaurant in November for the first time and we go all the time now. It is the best Chinese Restaurant in Moncton by 100%. The staff is kind, friendly and very professional. The restaurant is very clean and the food is amazing. Never once did I get bad food or bad service. I would definitely recommend this Restaurant to anyone. You’ll not be disappointed or walk away hungry. The prices are great and the portions you get is amazing. Please go and try it, guaranteed you’ll be happy you did. Thanks to the amazing staff of “Trans Place” for a great atmosphere to sit in and relax to a great meal.

However, the... read more The restaurant features a minimalistic yet modern Oriental decor, complete with lovely plants and ambient lighting that create a clean atmosphere. However, the food left a bit to be desired, though perhaps my expectations were too high. The wonton broth was excellent, but the wontons and noodles were gummy, starchy, and undercooked. The chicken balls had a good balance of chicken to batter, but the oil used for frying had an unpleasant taste. I wasn't a fan of the soy sauce; it was quite strong and had a bitter flavor that basically ruined my otherwise plain fried rice, which came without chicken, vegetables, or egg. Don’t be misled by the Daily Special sign outside; the discount of just 50 cents feels quite insulting. While the prices are reasonable, it seems true that you get what you pay for.
