We had parmiggiana to start w... read more Beautiful tiny restaurant with a charming owner, the oldest osteria in Modena serves the tastiest dishes, all fresh and home made. We had parmiggiana to start with, followed by hand made tortellini in brodo and I had to re order the roasted rabbit it was too good (and my kids ate almost of my first order : The desert was sublime and the sicilian owner, who has been taking care of the place for over 33 years a delight! We’ll be back for sure!

Did some r... read more Was here an a food vacation touring Italy with my 85 year old Italian mom. Got into town today and realized most restaurants are closed Monday night. Did some research on the Fork and found this place. In a word: Fantastico! We split a plate of prosciutto which was very good. I had the hand made tortellini in brodo which was spectacular and my Mom had the hand made gnocchi with Gorgonzola which we both agreed was the best we had ever had. Light, airy and amazingly flavorful gnocchi. We then had the roasted rabbit and potatoes and again, was great!! Could not have been happier with the amazing food at this quiet Osteria. Also a very nice wine list. No comment on dessert as we were too full. Basta! You need to go here to eat!!

Next time I'll try the meat. Excellent service, Mattia very kind. Dinner with colleagues as part of the Gastronomic Thursdays event. Excellent menu, impeccable service. The menu: pumpkin tart, macaroni with lemon-infused sausage ragù (excellent), pork cheek with a bed of pumpkin, balsamic vinegar, and pancetta. To finish, homemade ice cream with vinegar drops. The wine was also very good. Recommended.

The menu offers a limited... read more The current management has successfully enhanced an already well-known restaurant located at the entrance to Modena's historic center. The menu offers a limited number of excellent options, a substantial wine list, and a reasonable quality-price ratio. If there's one flaw, it's the poor soundproofing, which, when the restaurant is full, makes conversation difficult, but everything else is fine. Special mention goes to the truly superb tagliatelle al ragù, and to the helpfulness of the owner and staff.
