The Lodge Grill - Southbury

This is a local tavern style restaurant divided between a bar and restaurant. The restaurant has a cozy feel with raised wooden and padded booths along with a few tables inside. Outside they have a covered seating area adjacent to a small pond and flat grass area. The service was nice and the food has been consistently of good quality.

I've had fantastic above the bar service here and I've had service where I turned around and walked out after waiting 15 minutes to even be acknowledged after sitting down. I seem to get better service when I'm the only one sitting in an area on a Tuesday night. I've had occurrences where the servers and bartenders want to just stand around and flirt with the customers. Then I've had servers who check on us through dinner and make sure we are doing okay. So it's hit or miss here. I stopped coming for several months because of the poor service and it seems to have gotten better but it waits to be seen if it's permanent.

I always enjoy going to the Lodge. Service is great and my food was too.

Stopped for the first time for a light lunch We saw a lot of good comments on Facebook so we stopped hers. We had the French onion soup which is outstanding and shared an order of wings that were also delicious. Will definitely be back soon for a bigger meal as this was great.

Just went last night for trivia for the first time and loved it! The host was awesome and the food was great. Highly recommend.
