One time, they were struggling to come up with a name for their signature... read more I actually grew up knowing the D'Angelo brothers, and there's a funny story behind it. One time, they were struggling to come up with a name for their signature submarine sandwich. I suggested they use a number. They considered calling it number 12, but I thought number 9 had a better sound to it. I could just picture saying, "Hey, let me get a number 9!" Anyway, they liked the idea, and the rest is history. So no matter what happens in life, at least I can take pride in that. It's a nice thought.

This particular D'Angelo is my local spot, and what I value most is the quality of their food and their sincere dedication to engaging with the community. They greet me by name, and I know their names as well. If I could give it 6 stars, I absolutely would! Highly recommended. – Phill
