**Mann’s: A Culinary Gem in the Heart of the Community**
Mann's offers a delightful blend of fresh produce, exceptional baked goods, and hearty meals in a charming farm store setting. Renowned for its stellar pies, particularly the strawberry cream variety, the bakery provides an impressive selection, including muffins, cakes, and savory breakfast options. While service is generally praised, inconsistency regarding pricing and occasional wait times can mar the experience. We always choose Manns because their pies are usually fantastic. However, for Easter, we ordered an apple pie and were quite disappointed. While the crust was delicious, the apple filling was undercooked, and crunchy apples in a pie just don't appeal. I hope this was just a one-time fluke. We'll give it another shot in the future, but I truly hope we won't face another disappointment like this.
We go yo Manns every once In a while for their lunches. We always order a side salad instead of chips. Depending who takes our order, we are up charged anything from $1. to $2. Which is ok. But yesterday I was told by a woman who's been their for a long time, that it was a $3. charge and whoever told me it was less was wrong. What an attitude she had. She made me feel like I was trying to steal from them. Fact is, I checked out the price of a small salad that gives you twice the amount, and a dressing in their prepared food case, and it was only $2 more. I mean seriously a dollar or 2 is fair but 3? They should have these prices figured out by now, so they are standard. By the way, the person who quoted me a one dollar charge for years happens to be the bakery manager. Come on Manns, get with the program.
This didn 't appear to be a set of orchards that you could explore on foot, at least when I stopped by the other week, but rather a well-stocked farm store along a busy commercial road. If anything, I found this setup even better than outdoor orchards because it 's open year-round and because it was so huge and comprehensive.Inside, you 'll find a massive bakery area with plenty of pies, cookies, muffins, scones, breads, cakes, and, yes, apple cider donuts. I stopped by just before the holiday and they were doing a roaring business in reserved pies and cakes. The deli area also offers farm to table lunches every weekday, and the rest of the store is comprehensive enough to meet most of your grocery needs. There 's tons of fresh produce, fresh meats, ready-made apps and entrees, wine, beer, cider, and gourmet items. If I lived nearby, I 'd be here all the time. An excellent find that I 'm glad I visited, even after apple season, thanks to a Google search I did of local orchards.
Cute little spot. Your typical nice farm stand with an array of shopping to browse. Baked goods looked scrumptious, pizza looks fantastic, apples were delicious in our pie. We have future plans to check out the PYO. Wine a little overpriced for theselection so we got it elsewhere. Otherwise we had a great experience!
