In the past my husband and I have enjoyed our lunch every time we have been to Dock 7. The food is always fresh and delicious. Our disappointment this most recent time was with the service. We invited an out of town friend to join us. We ordered a large appetizer to share among the three of us, drinks, and then a catch of the day for our friend and one for my husband and me to share. After the the fish was served and my husband and I had eaten about half, we realized that we had been served the wrong fish. We promptly asked the waiter, and he acknowledged that a mistake had been made. He removed our plates and shortly brought us a very small portion of the espada that we had ordered originally, along with the vegetables from the previously served plate--a very poor response as the waiter or kitchen staff had made the mistake. It will be quite a while before we consider going back to Dock 7.
This place is simply great!! First the Shrimp cocktail and then Shrimp in Garlic sauce with Pacifica beer, Don Julio Anejejo tequila and super ice tea!! The service was outstanding and atmosphere really made for a great afternoon late lunch! Love this place and can't wait to return!!!
Para nosotros es un oasis en la marina en donde siempre encontramos la cerveza más fría, pescados y mariscos frescos, una atención fraternal y precios justos, 100% recomendado!
We are regulars in Mazatlan and one of my few regrets has always been the lack of beers with character (i.e. hops). Not anymore. Just discovered Tres Islas beer. A new craft brewery here that makes one of the best IPAs I've had (and I'm from Minnesota home of Summit, Surly and dozens of other great beers). Dock 7 serves up a generous half liter (little over a pint) for 45 pesos which is not much more than the per ounce cost of Pacifico, etc. We came to Dock 7 because of the beer and now have had two great meals as a bonus. The fish truly was fresh, reasonably priced and served in this open air setting right on the marina. Dock 7 is quickly becoming my casual dining favorite in Mazatlan.
Dock 7 restaurant/bar is overlooking the marina in which i currently slip my boat.; there are a few restaurants along this walkway above the docks and slips. the restaurants there are most convenient to those in both the boats and in condos overlooking the marinas. the only drawback to dock 7, other than the high prices---190 pesos for 200 gm shrimp with french fries is the lack of service. i have waited longer than 20 mins for the wait staff to stop watching tv and decide to welcome a party of 4 into the restaurant. food dont sell itself, there needs to be a human person selling it. food also needs to be a human or robot to bring it to you from kitchen. as the wait is so very long and food is only decent, many times i decide not to wait for their not busy staff to unbusy selves from television to wait on clients. i have also heard loud voices from wait staff disrespecting clients. this is not conducive to remaining in the restaurant for someone to show up to order any food. there are many clients who have complained about this, and it is only right to allow any future clientelle to know there is going to be a 20 min wait for acknowledgement and there will be only one plate served at a time, as the kitchen only cooks one plate of food at a time. by the time the 4th person in the party receives foods, the first one has cold food.for a GOOD seafood meal served at the same time for all members of your party, choose a different restaurant. the fish market is a good one, although a bit farther down the street. for drinks served at same time, this aint the place--first person was served the drink 20 min before anyone else's order was taken.
