This café-teestube is located at the central square of mayen (Rheinland-Germany). the people come here to enjoy a piece of cake or to drink a coffee with friends. tradition deeply rooted in Germany. the reception is warm. the chef takes her hands and leads them to a free table. many baked goods (approx. 2 euro) with more generous view. the atmosphere is family and joyful. we keep here at any time of day. a really good moment of German tradition... and we enjoy it.
This spacious terrace is located on the large market square of mayen. the drinks are paid directly when serving what is a little unfriendly. the white beer tastes great and the view over the center compensated for some. the furniture is comfortable and the staff is friendly.
When we wanted to go to the café with our 4 children, no hello etc. Nobody talked to us. Instead, reserved signs were quickly set up so that we could not sit down. I haven't seen such a place yet. Bad! Children and people are not welcome.
I tasted twice and had the same experience every time, the breakfast was good, varied and a good choice of ham, etc., but the breakfast was a bit hard cooked and looked like it was cooked a long time ago. The coffee tasted and everything else was good with the somewhat unfriendly operation. Only a woman was really friendly. but I would eat here again!
