Ippopotamus - MASSA

This lovely large restaurant is just a few minutes walk from the beach. It also has a large outdoor sitting area which is perfect on summer nights after a full day spent under the sun. The plating presentation was average, but once you take a bite, you won't be sorry. The main dish and dessert were delicious. We're definitely going back and soon!

We have went here two nights in a row. The food was good. The service was good. Unfortunately google translate did not work very well with the menu! We would have been much more adventurous had we been able to read an English menu!

We were able to order fairly easily despite the language barrier. The food was excellent. We were walking around and chose this restaurant because it was about half full at the time. It must be a hot local spot because after about 30 minutes or so the restaurant became full. They serve a seafood platter which seems to be a favorite because several tables around us had them. That atmosphere was also very nice.

I asked for a salad and mixed grilled seafood. The mussels were raw, clams as well, shrimps almost raw. The manager of the restaurant denied the fact that the food is cooked (grilled) badly. In the end it turned out that they included double portion of the grilled seafood. The waiter decided that one portion would not be enough. Definetely, nobody wanted to apologize and/or to change the bill. It's a bad place, avoid it, there are many better restaurants around.

Had pizza which was terrible.. Very bad service from waitresses who never smiled !! Cost 27euros for one of the worst meals I have had..
