Very good quality restaurant price with terrace. fresh fish and open cooking day. I recommend
An experience in marseille! the schilling presents a simple and supposed menu with beautiful and good products, I highly recommend it.
Extra fresh and quality fish, fresh and light dishes, very friendly reception and service, of good advice, with a tasting of whisky (scottish necessarily, as the chef) original offered at the time of departure. A very good memory.
I stumbled upon Schilling quite by accident, having failed to get in without a lunch reservation at my first choice. This was the best TripAdvisor rated restaurant nearby, and I'm so glad this happened. The restaurant, as others have mentioned, is small-ish holds persons total, with one cook and one server at lunch time. The lunch menu on a Saturday was just choices for starters and choices for main course. I opted only for the main course (although Monday through Friday they offer course and course special deals). At my request for white wine by the glass, the host opened and poured me a glass from a very nice bottle of Sancerre from the French Loire Region, very fairly priced. One can't really go wrong from any fish entree in Marseille the fish market itself is just down the street! I opted for a pan fried red mullet, which was cooked well on the outside but rare on the inside. It was delightful, especially when mixed with veal tartare, chopped very fine. Accompanying the protein were four outstanding deep fried, thin yellow raviolis filled with pumpkin. Outstanding! By the end, although the portion didn't look huge, it was more than satisfying. A quick espresso, very tasty to finish the meal. For a Michelin rated restaurant (I soon discovered by looking at the window stickers), this was an extremely high value meal.
