I've been to Bantam Chef a few times and found the food to be very good for the price – definitely worth a visit. The livermush was a unique and tasty choice, with a slight crust and great flavor. The friendly service and cozy atmosphere make it a top spot for a satisfying meal in Marion.
I went to the drive-thru and placed my order around 5pm yesterday evening. I only live about 7 minutes away. I ordered my food, waited, got my food, got home, took my shoes off, sat down to eat with my 2-year-old granddaughter. Our food was terrible - the fries were cold, like they had been cooked ahead of time and just thrown in the to-go box. The hot dog all the way was cold, the chili was watery and had no taste. The hamburger was also cold, like it had been cooked ahead of time and thrown on the bun. We ended up throwing it all away. We will never go back there again.
I have dined at this restaurant multiple times and have always received excellent food and customer service. I believe they serve some of the best burgers in town. The owner is very active in community events and non-profit organizations, making an effort to give back to the community. I highly recommend anyone who has not yet tried their food to pay them a visit and give it a try.
