I was ve... read more This is a great example of a traditional Aussie bakery! It’s a small family-fun operation with a standard offering of bread, sweets, coffee and drinks. I was very impressed with the large selection of meat pies! I grabbed a brekkie pie early on a Saturday morning and washed it down with a long black. The place was a hive of activity in the morning with people buying their daily loaf of bread and grabbing a newspaper. Very friendly and warm hospitality from the staff too. If you’re visiting Malanda and haven’t had an Aussie meat pie then this would be a place to experience what many Aussies remember from their childhood as the local bakery.

Also, if you don't have much of a sweet tooth like me, the apple cake is the the go to dessert, since it's refreshing and not that sweet <3
