Attfield Tavern
Description
**Attfield Tavern: A Mixed Bag of Dining Experiences**
Once a local favorite, Attfield Tavern is experiencing a tumultuous phase with varying dining experiences reported by patrons. While some rave about their delightful, well-priced meals and excellent service, others lament the decline in quality since the departure of a beloved chef. Favorites like the chicken parmi and surf-and-turf receive mixed reviews, with occasional remarks about poorly executed dishes and unwelcoming service. Nonetheless, the warm atmosphere and friendly staff shine through, making it a community staple for hearty pub fare, even if some diners leave with unfulfilled expectations. Overall, it’s a venue that retains loyal patrons while grappling with inconsistencies.

Went here a few nights ago with my family for dinner planning to give them a good time and some cherishable memories, but the owner was EXTREMELY rude, the food was expensive for the quality and not even reasonably priced, wouldn’t go here regularly Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: A$140–160 Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
Food was great, and there are plenty of other options I'd like to go back to try. I had the salt and pepper squid which was cooked very well, not tough and battered nicely at a great price. There's also a good variety of drink options, again at great pricing. Service was pleasant and very quick. Its a bit more of a local kind of pub but pleasant enough and I'll be visiting again. The bistro area has a nice ambiance, and the lady serving behind the bar was very friendly. The food was decent overall. My wife ordered the salmon, which was a generous portion. However, I was disappointed with my choice of bangers and mash; the serving was quite small. It consisted of just two sausages, a spoonful of mash, some peas, and a lot of gravy, and it felt more like a senior meal than a full-sized portion. On the positive side, the beer was cold. Service: Dine-in, Meal type: Lunch.
