What Christie C doesn't like about Alto Vineyards:
Didn't love Alto. They had high deposits for all glasses and flight pieces. This was odd and led to waiting more in lines and the deposits could only be given back in cash? Odd system. The outdoor space was nice with lots of room to spread about. Wine was hit or miss, best my group had was Chardonel. Overall lack luster especially after having read great reviews. View all feedback.

The drive from murphysboro (Illinois) to alto pass and beyond helped us find unexpected roads and beautiful locations that I never knew existed. It was an absolutely gorgeous day we met some interesting people along the way and found some really good wine! Don't be in a hurry on this Trail there are lots of nooks and crannies just waiting to be discovered. Worth the drive any day.
They require a deposit on glasses even during slow time on a Monday. So many cameras. I felt like a criminal. NOT welcoming Plus wines not that good.
Great wine, music and atmosphere!! Love the bartenders and also I great place to have events.. baby showers, bridal showers, etc!! Highly recommend!!
