Excellent place to see the sunset in lissabon! the personal is friendly and the sangria and cocktails are great.

We were on our way walking uphill to the Castle de São Jorge, but instead found this lovely rooftop bar and outdoor terrace and decided to have an afternoon snack and see the beautiful view over downtown Lisbon. The Zambeze terrace provided a relaxed atmosphere. We ordered some drinks with fries (batatas fritas) and a Portuguese sandwich (tosta mista). Service was a bit slow, but we were OK with that. There is a panoramic elevator that will take you down to the Loureiro do Chão Market that includes the Pingo Doce Supermarket.

Best food in Lisbon with the best view for the city and its river. Many Mozambique options also. Easy and fast service. To repeat!

So bad it’s almost funny. We had dinner here tonight and the whole experience was so poor I could only laugh. Staff are totally confused and seem to be all on their first night. Our food was not good. Half the menu was off as they did not have the food (crab curry and risotto) So we went for shrimp curry and fried beef. Curry was almost cold and my steak was super tough. There were only four tables on the terrace occupied and all seemed to either have an argument with staff or have food arriving haphazardly. A table near us had three starters arrive at all different times. Bill was €95 which was totally overpriced for what we got. This place will be out of business soon but don’t bother going if in Lisbon. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: €50+ Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Zambeze has an amazing view, especially at sunset, and the wine was very good. Service was just okay, nothing memorable. The food came in small portions and while the sauces were excellent, both dishes were overcooked — the chicken so much that it was hard to tell meat from bone. For the price, the quality and service don’t quite match up. Overall, a beautiful setting but overpriced for what you get. Price per person: €30–35 Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4
