O am not a sushi fan but I have to confess that this one is very good. The staff is very nice and the room amazing
Sushic is inside a palace that was transformed in a multi restaurant place in two floors. You can self serve in all restaurants but Sushic. This one is a restaurant that you can book. The quality of the food is one of the best I have been in sushi restaurants, the type of food is different than the ordinary ones, and the service very attentive! Is a little expensive, expect around 50€ by person but if you can is really worthy
Every other area of Palacio Chiado was PACKED except this one. Now I know why. Food is average, boring and flavourless starters, sushi and sashimi selection was a good selection, interesting combinations and fish was fresh except the white fish which was like chewing leather. The absolute worst part of the experience however was the service. When we arrived the staff looked at us like they didn't know why we were there. The waitress was not friendly and when we asked for recommendations she gave them but wrote them down immediately. We had to ask her twice not to write things down, and finally when it came to order she couldn't understand that we didn't want anything she had written down. She loitered uncomfortably the whole evening and plates were cleared before we had both finished for both courses. Even though I was paying, I felt bad that I had invited my friend out to eat.
Very nice building with walls and roofs plenty of paintings, mixing modern and old style. Worth the visit just for that. Sushi was ok, nothing spectacular but nice flavour, well served and presented. Very nice and warm waiters/waitresses who were really helpful and patient with all the questions and translations. Overall a nice place to have a break of all the bacalau we 've been eating along the week.
