Looking for a good lunch spot on a Sunday, Comida Independente was exactly what I had hoped to find! It's small shop stocking products from small independent producers around as well as restaurant, where you can sample some of the products turned into intriguing dishes. The menu is small, but everything is fresh. Staff are exceptionally friendly and attentive. Definitely worth a visit!
It was the first time ever I managed to actually eat. A lucky feast for the palate. We ordered one delicious burrata, dripping in tasty olive oil. And then we plunged in the one and only (and only one Lisbon’s pastrami sandwich. Tasty and good, with very good pickles. I suggest you pick a bottle from one of the shelves to go, and have it open there. The wines on offer are mainly Serradinhas and those, I use to season my salad only : but the shop has amazing wines and delicious choices.
A wonderful place to explore alternative foods and wine. They only buy from small distributors making eveythong in the store unique. Try the the home brewed Kikuchi
Absolutely loved our evening at Comida Independente! Incredible range of wines from Portugal, plus some of the most interesting bottles from the rest of Europe. Anna was such a lovely host and we ate the best bread, cheese and ham of our trip. Just gutted we were flying home so we weren't able to take any bottles back with us!
