Brilliant evening for my husband’s birthday Food was great Service excellent. Nothing was too much trouble. His glasses broke and they went to great lengths with a brilliant sense of humour attached as photo shows!!

One of those dining experiences you hope to avoid when visiting another country. If food shows up on the table and you touch it, it will show up on the bill. Every roll from the breadbasket, and that pat of butter for the roll, that too. That said, the rolls were probably the most edible part of the meal. My wife loves a shrimp cocktail and she ordered that. When it came it looked pretty enough. First shrimp she spat back out into her hand and said, “I think there is something wrong with the shrimp.” I tried one, and they weren’t off, they were just shrimp by Goodyear. Overcooked to the point that all flavor and texture had been wrung out from them. I had the prawns and rice, which the waiter had assured me was like paella. “Like paella” unfortunately turned out to be a very long stretch. An insult to paella really. The seafood was overcooked to the point of inedibility and the sauce flavorless. The notion that anyone with a tastebud left in their mouth would give Collina a 5-star review stretches the limits of credulity. If your local hotel recommended it, I can only assume that there is a kickback involved. This place is a must miss.

Recommended by our hotel, this busy Portuguese seafood restaurant did not disappoint. Frequented by families and tourists alike, it served up large portions of simply prepared seafood by waiters with years of experience. Service was efficient and the food reasonably priced.

Very good restaurant! There is plenty of food to eat. The desserts are exceptional. The meat is not very good. The price (22E) is expensive but normal for the variety and amount of food. The restaurant no longer uses this name, now it's called Meliã Hotel.

Despite the negative reviews, this was a surprisingly wonderful restaurant great Cataplana dishes, and a lot of desserts selection. Service was swift and attentive. Can’t believe this is the same restaurant that have many scary reviews!
