My partner and I grabbed a last minute brunch here before heading to the airport last week. Unfortunately we were unable to leave a tip (we had literally spent our last few cents! , which is a pity, because it was certainly deserved. The omelettes were delicious and as we were pressed for time, the waiter bagged up some pastels de nata for us to take away! Great service, food, and value for money a little gem of a restaurant!
This is the first time we were advised to share a dish, as it's the custom here. Our waitress Patricia was very helpful and very professional. We ate inside, a very nice atmosphere and the food was good.
We came across this restaurant by chance without any one at the door enticing us to go in. All inside seating and that was our preference, with an ample view of the road and a view of the sloping narrow alleys on the opposite side of the road, with a good chance of seeing traditional tram 28 on its way to begin its route from M Moritz square. We had fish meals and were fully satisfied, ample portions and well cooked or grilled. Fast service. Will sure visit again when in Lisbon.
We have a gluten allergy. The fish is the dourada na grelha. The prices on our bills were the same as listed on the menu. The place is clean.fish Was very light and delicious! Superb portion. Ice cold coke. If you don’t not want the meat and cheese and pate do not eat it and you will not be charged
We came across Carmar while waiting for our AirB&b to be available. Very welcoming staff, we had a coffee and pasties de nata, but very good, our first taste of Portugal . Local hangout, locals popping in for coffee and house wifes for a snack meal, Staff very friendly, even offered to keep our bags safe while we explored the neighborhood. We returned a few times during our stay for our daily coffee 'fix ' and the occasional beer.
