In Alto de Santo Amaro Lisbon there is a cafe where I go less often than I liked: Café Dias (days of it´s name. Open until after midnight, it 's a place where sometimes, at night, after a movie, I, who live in another corner of the city, go purposely to have a beer. And if it 's good to go to a place to have a beer, for more after going to see a movie, it 's best to have a place like that, where you go only which is a good and enough reason to drink a beer. I know, not from experience, but from listening (or having read? that we can eat well there too and, sometimes, listen some jazz. If I lived in that neighborhood Alto de Santo Amaro which has a deserved lucky to have a cafe like the Café Dias, I would have experienced the food and the music too. Such coffee in my neighborhood ... and I would go to it every day. Café Dias, a good place. In Alto de Santo Amaro, where I go on purpose.
The best place to be in the area, and one of the best in Lisbon! The area, the food, the people... Everything!
Cafe Dias is located in Santo Amaro in the Rua Pedro Calmon close to the Capela de Santo Amaro. From the city centre you can catch the 760 bus. It stops close by. From LX Factory it’s only 5/10 minutes by foot. We’ve been three times to Cafe Dias and enjoyed it every time. It’s a more modern place but they still do everything the Portuguese way. You can eat some typical Portuguese snacks or pastry but they also serve some salads, etc for lunch. We weren’t there in the evening so I can’t say anything about dinner. They’ve got a nice terrace under the trees and the service is very friendly. The salads we ate were delicious. We’ll be coming back. Cafe Dias is open from Monday till Saturday.
