Hibbard's Custard - Lewiston
Hibbard's Custard
Description
At Hubbard's, customers have varied experiences, making it a mixed bag for ice cream lovers. While many praise the rich, creamy custard and unique flavors like lemon and toffee crunch, others express disappointment over inconsistencies in portion sizes and pricing. Some felt misled by the description of their offerings, expecting custard but receiving soft-serve instead. Service issues have also been reported, particularly regarding hours of operation. Despite this, the positive feedback on flavor quality and customer service keeps patrons returning. As summer heat sets in, Hubbard’s remains a tempting stop, albeit with some caveats for discerning customers.

One of the staff members was quite unpleasant, but the other girl was very friendly, making for an interesting experience. The restaurant offers a good selection of flavors, however, it is on the pricier side.
A small cone here used to be pretty big for the price, but the one I got the other day had no ice cream inside the cone and one tiny scoop on top. For like $6.50. Flavors are good but nothing thaaaat special.
Drove 25 minutes to get here on mother 's day. Arrived at 8:15 to find all of the employees still there working and scooping ice cream out of machines. We tried to order and were told that they are closed. Told the employee the website says open until 9 and we drove 25 minutes to get here and she said sorry we close at 8 on Sundays now . Guess we will be spending our money elsewhere from now on.
