I decided to look up nearby restaurants and one caught my eye—Lorenzo's Cafe Espresso Ristorante Italiano, which was just a few blocks away. Upon arriving at the BYOB restaurant located at 4741 Princeton Ave., I was warmly greeted by my server, Christina, and seated at a cozy table. Lorenzo's has a welcoming, family-oriented atmosphere where it seemed like everyone was familiar with each other. A sense of joy filled the place as guests exchanged greetings, and the Chef took the time to welcome each one personally, even pulling up a chair to chat with some friends at a nearby table. It truly felt like home. To start, I was served a house salad accompanied by a house dressing and seasoned olive oil, along with some fresh bread that helped whet my appetite for the main course. I decided to try something new: the Eggplant Caprese, which featured fried eggplant topped with fresh mozzarella, tomato, roasted red pepper, and basil. The three crispy slices of warm eggplant paired beautifully with the chilled mozzarella, roasted pepper, and tomato, and the fresh basil elevated the dish even further—it was delightful! For my main course, I chose "The Sinatra," a dish of shrimp and lump crab meat tossed with penne pasta in a rich lobster cream sauce. It was absolutely wonderful! The dish was plentiful with shrimp, and the cream sauce was generously infused with lobster flavor. When dessert was offered, I reluctantly had to decline, as I was completely stuffed. A week later, I found myself back in the area and couldn’t resist stopping by again. Christina remembered my name and warmly welcomed me back! Lorenzo's is definitely a place I plan to return to and explore further!

We got them as an app with cheesy garlic bread and smashed those suckers on there. Hubby had chicken parm, a bit on the thicker side, but super tender. I had the chicken Angelina: chicken breast; roasted peppers; prosciutto; provolone; asparagus; light white wine sauce. It was light and delicious. There was a bit of a wait time between courses for food to settle and grab dessert. Not a horrible wait. Reason being per the chef was everything is made fresh to order. Limencello cake was great. We will be returning and I suggest you go!

Made to order food, made from scratch all of the time. The owners and staff are so friendly and make you feel at home all of the time. The atmosphere is so cool it feels like you are in a little Cafe in Italy. The food is so tasty and authentic and so fresh. We really love coming here. I can not Express enough how Great this place is. Go check it out for yourself. You will not be disappointed

The bread they bring out... read more My boyfriend and I came here on Friday night and it was amazing. The attentiveness from the server, as well as from the owner was nice. The bread they bring out is addicting as well. something so simple but so good! I had the chicken parm and my boyfriend got the Sinatra. The chicken cutlet was nice and thin, and the sauce, which they call gravy, was tangy and sweet. The Sinatra was jam packed with crab meat and shrimp. I'm not a huge shrimp fan but my boyfriend loved it. The portions were large as well. This is such a great spot for a dinner date, we enjoyed the food and loved the ambiance. My boyfriend also loved the Godfather/Goodfellas last supper photo they had on the wall, so much so that he googled it while we were eating! TL;DR the food is great, the staff is wonderful Can't wait to come back.
