The young, friendly lady beh... read more We came back to the Stückwerk for a light lunch recently and enjoyed the experience tremendously. On arrival, I was the only guest. The young, friendly lady behind the counter beckoned me to choose anywhere to sit and took my drinks order whilst I waited for my lunch dining partner. The seating here is at large solid wooden tables and bench seats with comfortable cushions. The open plan design gives you a chance to see behind the scenes into the kitchen As I supped my apple juice drink waiting for my friend to arrive, I had ample time to check through the menu and to decide on one of the current house offers – the buffalo pizza for a very reasonable 6,90 Euro. When my friend and colleague joined me she ordered the market fresh salad which came with 8 free, hot, multi corn pizza breads filled with cheese. My pizza arrived with her salad and I was pleased to see that the pizza base was nice and chunky, loaded with mince-meat and sliced Jalapeno pepper on a tasty BBQ sauce. Everything was delicious. To finish the meal we were offered a free dessert which we took to be a creamy panna cotta type dish. With coffee and tea served in rather exotic looking glasses we concluded our short, but memorable stay here. What a pleasant lunchtime experience away from the hectic bustle of work at the office – and all for 25 Euro tip!

My companion and I were encouraged to sit at one of the large msassive wood benches and a nice lady took our order Pizza Tocame, Pizza Gaucho and a couple of diet Cokes. There is a good choice of rathr unusual pizzas surely one to suit every taste. Our pizzas were served piping hot from behind the open plan kitchen. They were a good size and very tasty. I asked for some extra chilli sauce but was offered some ultra spicy red chillis which weren't really that easy to eat. Never mind. For that no nonsense, quick and simple lunchtime excursion away from the office the Stueckwerk is just the place.
