Not all the pizzas... read more I stayed in the hotel next door and wandered past here to see some really good pizzas so decided to come back the following evening and eat. Not all the pizzas on the menu were to my taste but i have to say the Serrano and rocket pizza was the best i have tasted outside of Italy. Very nice staff and a thoroughly enjoyable experience.

The pizzas here are exceptional as we don't like the really doughy kind and at lunch time the set menus are super value. If you like lemonade they have a variety to choose from and a real thirst quencher. They have a terrace outside - great for sunny days and right next to Innside Melia

We we... read more White Monkey is voted amongst the best places for pizza in Leipzig on tripadvisor probably due to its good location, hip vibe and somehow creative dishes. We were quite excited to visit this place but probably that played a contrast card against us when we expected too much. The service is really helpful and friendly. The decor is indeed interesting. But we come for the food, so let's talk about it. The pizza size is huge, which explains its high price, around 15euro each. The dough is flat and crunchy, but somehow really bland. I got the teriyaki salmon pizza, and it is served with fresh cucumber. My hubby got something else which has an additional pesto sauce. The ingredients seem to be fresh, but their flavor combination doesn't really work out. The teriyaki flavor was really really just a hint, and the rest of the pizza is kinda bland. In the end, the best part was pizza left-over dough dipped in pesto sauce. We rather think that the price doesn't match up with the quality of the food. I already eat really bland and I find these pizzas really bland. We will not come back, even though we fell in love with the nice service and the mini desserts.
