First and last time. Ordered a medium well steak but it came out rare. Sent it back to be re heated but still came back rare dripping red. Asked for a brand new well done piece and it came out barely medium well. Bolognese barely had any meat or sauce just a very thin layer on the top and certainly not enough for all the linguini. Flavour was bland and quite salty. High prices for cafe food. Staff seemed annoyed that I brought my child and that I spoke Mandarin. Would not recommend and will not be coming back. Also, forgot to ask the staff to validate parking there is 1hr free parking (called ahead and they said to park anywhere in the parkade and go in). Called them back in English to explain but they didn’t understand. Explained again in Mandarin and they said as long as I was able to leave the parkade, then I wouldn’t get a ticket. Is this true? Another customer stopped me in the parkade to ask about their parking as well. They really need to put details on their parkade signage.
Affordable place for HK style breakfast and lunch. On a busy Sunday morning we visited and had to wait about 30 minutes or so for a table of 2. The wait wasn’t too bad and the host was very on top of it so it felt much quicker. The breakfast menu ends at around 11AM so we weren’t able to try them. From the prices, it looks quite affordable for a lot of food.We ordered the special penne pasta and a baked pork chop on rice. Both were very delicious and had large portions. Will definitely be back, but maybe will make reservations next time.
Hong Kong style restaurant, 90 minutes free parking using QR code inside the restaurant. Nice milk tea. Decor is good ?
I have visited this restaurant several times and I have found that the quality is superior compared to other Hong Kong cafes, even though the portions can be smaller. Personally, I prefer quality over quantity. I have also tried the location on Cambie Street and I did not find it to be very good. However, the Richmond location has much better food. I hope that the quality remains consistent in the long term, otherwise it will just be another average Hong Kong cafe.
I love the delicious Chinese-inspired Western comfort food at this restaurant, especially the sizzling hot plate combos! The staff is friendly and provides efficient service, with our food arriving fresh and hot in just 15 minutes. The spacious restaurant has very comfortable seating.
