Very good coffee. We had the big boy egg plate and a parfait. Those were good but I wish they add just plain croissants or some other simpler breakfast items like viennoiseries. They have inside and outside seatings available. The views outside are great. The next day we also came for lunch and shared a hamburger. I'm usually not a big fan of burgers but I have to admit this one was really delicious. View all feedback.
What Mauro1990 doesn't like about Tr:
This establishment was recommended from our neighbors. Spoke very highly of it but unfortunately it did not meet my standards. Mind you, this review is based on only the espresso they serve, nothing else. I’m sure their pastries, sandwiches, tacos are wonderful but I did not have that. I only had a triple espresso and it was HORRIBLE!!! I’m a barista and I only serve the best coffee roast available. The establishment... View all feedback.
The food is fine (though way overpriced, especially considering this is not a full-service restaurant). I got a reuben that was just OK while my wife got a fried chicken sandwich that she really liked (though the coleslaw was terribly oniony, as a previous reviewer wrote). My wife 's mocha did not arrive until after the food, at which point she no longer wanted it (but we kept it anyway). You order at the register (like fast food), take a number and find your own table. They bring it, you eat, and then have to bus your own table. This place is a perfect example of why the concept of pre-tipping is just wrong. One tips based on the quality of what they received and the service associated with it. While the food was fine, there was practically no service. So, essentially, the pre-tip is a bribery attempt, Please make me a good sandwich, which may or may not happen. Had we known the place was practically self-service, we would not have tipped at all. We will be returning to Gualala, but not Trinks Cafe.
It is also one of my favorite local spots with a very good selection of delicacies and meals that will satisfy you and keep you coming back.
The best family-run restaurant around, for 2 generations. Our favorites: breakfast tacos, lentil bowl, bun-less quinoa burger with poached eggs added on top, BBLT, green smoothie, hot chai, ginger cookies, ginger scones, jalapeno popper scone with bacon (omgggg so good! , Greek salad with added chicken and poached eggs (great high protein meal after a workout .
A little gem right next to the ocean with delicious sandwiches and locally made pastries and pies. I had the meat loaf sandwich, which was really yummy, and my friend had the fried chicken sandwich which was really good as well. We took home a few different pie slices to try later. Overall, this place was excellent and I will definitely come back!
Used to love this place. Came annually when we were in the area camping. Tried after they grew and waited way too long to leave without ordering. Figuring a year would give them time to fix the issue…nope. So far I have waited for over 20 minutes for someone to pour 2 iced teas. Will not be back.
