Contribute FeedbackLocation Located in the heart of the beautiful pedestrian area of Kirchheim in the Dreikönigstrasse. This is easily accessible on foot from the surrounding car parks (Schweine-Krautmarkt, Stadtmitte/Stadthalle and parking spaces (Rossmarkt, Brickwasen). From the parking lot, you need about 10 minutes, but it is free of charge. The nearest car park Rossmarkt is often full. Because of the old pavement, ladies should give up high-quality shoes. Ambiente The restaurant is one of the oldest locals in Kirchheim. More than 100 years ago it was brewed there. In 2000 there was a fundamental refurbishment. The old wood distribution is still very well preserved or well renovated. Also the old ground oak parquet. This creates a particularly homely atmosphere. The place is accessed via the smoking room. To the left, there is a huge, tasteful bar counter made of dark wood. The furniture consists of tables (4-8 persons with approx. 3 cm thick, polished, dark brown table tops. On the right of the entrance is the separated NIchtraucherraum. As a special gag, the huge wooden fans installed on the ceiling are obtained from aircraft propellers (both a relic of the helicopters, which are driven by an aantiquarian electric motor via transmissions with leather belts. A delusion for tech and antique fans. The next eye-catcher is the children's play house set up there, equipped with children's table and bank, which is obviously very welcome. A very nice sign for the children's friendliness of the place. During my stay, the children playing there have also been very disciplined and have not caused any disturbing noise. The tables here are alternately covered with yellow or white, clean table runners and each covered for 2-4 persons. All of this combined with the old wood distribution creates a good feel-good atmosphere and lets forget the discomfort when entering the forecourt to the restaurant, which looks like an unobstructed camp for all kinds of rumblings. The toilets (old wisdom: like the toilets, so the kitchen are very clean and are located in a picturesque basement vault in the basement, which you enter through a very wide stone staircase. Menu Already 2 minutes after I had taken place the very friendly service brought me the day card. Amazing after more than 50 guests were in the restaurant and they managed the service alone. All day(main dishes are offered in a normal (from 8.00 € and small portion (5,00-8,00 €) (for normal appetite, the small portion is completely sufficient . The general, very extensive menu and drink card is shown in detail on the home page of the restaurant and I therefore spare another comment. What I could do without is the American Diners and Currywurst listed there, which I consider to be deposed on this card. Probably a tribute to hand and baseball players in the city of Kirchheim, who have their tribal place. Food and Beverage I then decided for: beef broth with flädle (both homemade, a must for real swabs 3,50 € lamb haxe with homemade tomato chili sauce and ribbon noodles 7,80 € Add to this a quarter (0.25 ltr Schorle from rosé wine (because this lt informs the operation after dryer than the Swabian variant Weißherbst is 2,80 €. The fillet soup was a homemade cattle force broth with a distinct beef flavor (and more out- than looking in eyes. The fillet (for non-sweet: thin pancakes cut into stripes also homemade. The meat of the lamb haxe was very tender and almost fell on the tongue. In the tomato chili sauce it was possible to make small tomato and chilli slices, which would lead to a natural preparation. It tasted all very well, even without artificial aromas. Amazing what a Russian cook has on it. Conclusion: A very neat lunch. Be sure to eat à la carte there for a while.
