Hoffman's D'creamery - Kearney
Hoffman's D'creamery
Description
Tucked in Kearney, this hardworking local spot pairs a cozy, motorsports‑studded interior with homestyle barbecue and diner classics—pulled pork, tenderloin, fries and house‑made ice cream earn frequent praise. Service can be warm and welcoming but inconsistent, and food quality ranges from excellent to merely passable, with some guests finding prices high for portions. For casual breakfasts, hearty sandwiches and friendly conversation, it’s a charming choice that could shine with steadier execution.

Nice breakfast place. I had the D-cram plate, potatoes were excellent. Maybe the others were just a bit dry. A little extra salsa would have helped a whole bunch. The woman had the French toast who was very good. And my son had cookies and Gravy and scrambled eggs.
My new restaurant for breakfast or dinner. Sausage Gravur is excellent. Pulled pig is wonderful and if you like a little heat, the Screamin' Pig Sandwich is super good. Fries are the best round and Hamburgers are excellent. Fair prices for the quality of food and great service.
Drive through and found D’Creamery for lunch. It was a great find. We had the Brisket Chili, pulled pork sandwich and brisket sandwich with roasted potato salad. All were excellent. The chili and both meats were so tasteful with a great smokey taste. Never had fried potato salad and it was great. We recommend D’Creamery.
If you're looking for a place with food that can only be described as mediocre at best, then this is the spot for you! The service here is nearly nonexistent. The orange juice tasted suspiciously like Sunny D, though it was likely Tropicana, which they charge around $3.50 for. They advertise using “local meat and eggs,” but the sausage I received was simply a pre-packaged patty that had been chopped and added to the dish. While it could very well be local, I suspect, similar to the breakfast potatoes, that it’s probably not. The food was passable, and I won’t deny that, but it fell far short of what the menu and other reviews led us to expect. It’s very basic, akin to Waffle House quality (though I might say Waffle House is slightly better). Overall, I’ll admit I might come back, but I wouldn’t pay for it. The service leaves much to be desired, likely consisting of high school girls in their first jobs. Once our meals arrived, it was almost impossible to get refills or any attention regarding our satisfaction. My girlfriend had to attract our server’s attention for more coffee, and I wasn’t even acknowledged for anything I might need. Maybe I’m being too hard on this restaurant, but I don’t believe I am. I rated this place 2 stars because it’s clear that the owners are trying, but there is significant room for improvement. Perhaps the lunch menu is better, but the breakfast experience definitely fell short.
