I’m really disappointed that we chose to stop here. These were the worst pasties I’ve ever had—barely any meat and mostly vegetables. They didn’t even heat them all the way through before serving. I’m surprised by all the high reviews; this can’t be a place where the locals actually eat.

If this restaurant genuinely doesn’t provide its employees with information on ingredient lists, especially for dietary concerns, that falls on management. If the staff member is unwilling to answer a few straightforward questions without displaying irritation, she may need to find a role outside of customer interaction. After placing our order, we requested a pickle, and she spent over a minute rummaging through the pickle jar, poking various pickles with tongs while repeatedly saying “No.” It seemed like she was searching for a specific one. In the end, she chose one of the smallest and least appealing pickles for us. On a positive note, the pasties themselves were delicious—large and perfectly baked. We tried a fresh classic pasty and a frozen veggie pasty, and the veggie one was absolutely fantastic. The pickle was a bit soft but still tasted good. We might consider returning but will definitely do some research on our choices ahead of time.
