Excellent food. Friendly staff, especially Richard. Will def will return
On the whole the food was good if a little on the cool side. The roast potatoes were not really roasted, not crisp on the outside. Vegetables were perfectly cooked. The hunters chicken was a bit on the dry side. The apple tart tarting was cold in the middle. Served by friendly staff.
We love coming to the Mill. The staff are always friendly and the food is always tasty. We look forward to visiting again soon!
This pub/restaurant is wonderfully spacious, full of character and in a lovely park like location ideal for covid times. We last visited in May, when we gave it 5* for service. This time we were disappointed. Our lunch took 3 hours the staff seemed more concerned to stand at the bar drinking and chatting than attending to the clients, and they were not all very friendly or welcoming. Perhaps the current countrywide staffing shortages are to blame. We shall not be in a hurry to return.
All the dishes were excellent, lasagne, lamb and the fish special. I thought that the waitress was efficient and personable. Altogether an enjoyable experience.
