This restaurant has made me love Vietnamese food. I always stayed away from Vietnamese restaurant because I have tried several restaurants in the past and the food wasn’t even palpable at all. What Y Luo dislikes about Mai Lan:
The food is good, roaches also love it. The boss says roaches are a normal phenomenon, only Americans would mind and call the police. The waiter only gave us a new pair of chopsticks and let us continue eating, without any disinfection. I am Asian but I also feel disgusted. View all feedback.

The Vietnamese food at Mai Lan is undoubtedly authentic and aromatic. We tried Pork Dumplings, Vietnamese crepes, Chicken Curry, Spring rolls, and Chicken Pho. The dishes are large. Good service.

This place is a hidden gem away from the touristy area... More of a mom and pops hole in the wall. So glad I stumbled into it, their curry crab is amazing, and huge selection of hidden menu. Owner (Sam) was super friendly and was willing to whip out some dishes that were not in the standard menu. Would def come again next time I re-visit Hawaii!

The crab curry was very loved every piece of it. The fried rice smells so good, but the proportion is too much for two people to be so careful. We ordered the garlic shrimp oh my God. Jesus. Uncle was very friendly and also have a mango. It's a must when in Honolulu.

Wow big Vietnamese cuisine! This crab (market price) curry and bread was good! Also the shrimp soup with noodles was good! The egg roll packed in salad yummy. She asked us if she wanted us to pack each piece. Good last meal. Definitely will eat here again if I have a trip here for the next time! After a disappointment with the Korean food in the night before.
