The food is good the service at the bar is probably as bad as it can get. The two bartenders are the worse two I have ever encountered. You would think being somewhat regulars would help but this is just not the case. The owner Val is a very nice lady and runs the place with a iron fist so how these two have survived is beyond me. I will NEVER eat or dink there again. I just can't get passed how bad the service is. I actually got up and let mid meal.

We have not been to Val’s in 4-6 years. We use to go every Friday night. The last time we went food, drinks service was AWFUL!!!! Tonight we decided to give a try. After all things must have changed. What a DIFFERENCE the drinks were AMAZING; the service was INCREDIBLE; the food DELICIOUS. Emma at the bar asked questions how we wanted our drinks. My Dirty Martini was on point and my husbands Old Fashion was just right. She is a great bartender. We ordered the Asian platter appetizers and mussels delicious and they gave us extra bread which is a must for mussels. Peter was a very nice young man who took care of the glasses he was very kind and took an interest in us. He even asked how long we have been married. Definitely raised by great parents. Definitely a delightful evening. We definitely will be returning to Val’s!

I?ve only been once but I will definitely be going back. If the rating needs adjusting after that I will do so. The portions are VERY large. 2 people can definitely share 1 meal. The server we had was very friendly and accommodating. Nice atmosphere.

I was inquiring about having a rehearsal dinner at Val?s earlier this week with Val herself. I?ve been busy and I hadn?t yet touched base with Val since our conversation on the phone. My husband decided to go to dinner and instead of heading toWorcester he mentioned Val?s Restaurant instead. Great idea since we have never eaten there before. That would be a great chanceto experience the atmosphere and food before the rehearsal dinner. The atmosphere was very calming with light instrumentalmusic playing. We were seated promptly and our waitress was so pleasant and attentive. The French onion soup was amazing! Thebroth was very light, not salty and had a strong beef flavor that was not overpowering. Just wonderful. My seafood grilled kabobwas so moist and grilled perfectly as was my husband?s lamb kabob. Lamb was cooked perfectly, not dry at all. I was pleasantlysurprised dining at this restaurant I?ve heard so much about. I would definitely go back there again! We ended up meeting Val,as busy as she was with hosting a party in the back of her restaurant. She was so engaging, happy and looking forward to meetingwith me about my booking. She put me at ease with the menu options, etc?.. I cannot say enough about our interaction or the mealitself! Absolutely enjoyed my impromptu dinner at Val?s. Try it, you cannot go wrong!
