I had an excellent day at Ulting Wick and enjoyed a refreshing walk in Heybridge Basin, so I completely forgot to bring my homemade snacks. The fish and chips were exceptional—definitely a highlight of my year! Both employees were friendly and patient, and the prices were great. The freshly prepared food came in huge portions! I give this place a solid 5 stars.
The chips were fresh and crispy, and the large portion was quite generous. The fish, made from fresh cod, was perfectly cooked and delicious. The curry sauce was thick and flavorful. The mussels were very tasty, although the portion size was a bit small. The staff was friendly, and I would definitely eat there again.
First time popped in here and to be honest it wasn't great!. £5.40 for a quarter chicken, we got two.. but it's far from a quarter. Its half the breast with the ribs attached So 10.80 for one chicken breast that was put in microwave first then in frier and was so dry it awful, Food: 2 Service: 5
We always pop in when we're passing even if we're not hungry and have always been impressed.
