there is not much in the type of vegan fine eating in the northeast so hjem is a real gem. they offer a fully vegan tasting menu for £120 that includes 18 different dishes. absolutely amazing eating and excellent service. they need to book ahead (as months before) View all feedback.
We had an amazing dining experience at Hjem. Everything was perfect and we are looking forward to returning. The service, meal type, and atmosphere were all exceptional, and we highly recommend this restaurant. Prices were on the higher side, but well worth it for the quality of the food and service.

Fantastic food, lovely staff. The lounge/bar area needs refurbishing. Some people I know would prefer to be given a copy of the menu before the meal and not at the end if they prefer to choose their own wines to match up with the food. We were told dinner was at 7.0pm and were in the bar area before 6.30 pm for pre dinner drinks but didn't get our first bite to eat until 7.35pm.
