The hostess,... read more I tried for weeks to make a reservation but they were full. We walked up and while they were full, my wife mentioned the next day was my birthday. The hostess, Katie, treated me like I was Moses as she parted the Red Sea to make sure I could eat there on my birthday whenever I liked. We arrived the next night to a big smile from Katie and sat at a great table! The food is EXCELLENT!!! The broccoli dish was the best broccoli based dish I've ever eaten. The lamb chops were perfect! The meatballs were an unlikely final choice and THEY WERE GREAT! a real surprise. I don't think they have a pastry chef because the dessert didn't equal the dinner. The food is very expensive for tapas yet the final bill wasn't too damaging (about $150 for two- I don't drink). I sure would recommend Bar Acuda!

That said, a couple plates did not inspire anything in me. Namely the steak kabob and honeycomb. The honey had a bitter aftertaste which may have been the dish's intention. The steaks seemed over-cooked. But enough criticism! The cheesecake stole the show! Probably the best cheesecake I've ever eaten. Overall this was a good experience I'd recommend to anyone on the island.

We did have to wait an hour to be seated but luckily they have a texting service so you can look at the shops while you wait for a table and believe me it is worth the wait. We had thebroccoli, the papas ajos, albondigas, and pizzetta. They were all amazing and we were full after these! Make sure to stop in!The staff was very friendly as well! Thanks Bar Acuda!
