Common Grounds - Hamden
Common Grounds
Description
Common Ground Coffee offers a cozy, charming atmosphere with a distinctive wooden interior and sparkling cleanliness. Known for its excellent variety of fresh coffee, flavorful pastries, and refreshing drinks, it consistently delights many visitors. Friendly, attentive baristas contribute to a welcoming experience, making it a favorite local spot. However, some patrons report inconsistent drink quality and occasional noise from traffic and staff chatter. A few have experienced service issues and underwhelming flavors, which contrasts with otherwise high ratings for food and service. Overall, Common Ground is a well-loved café ideal for quick stops and casual visits, though experiences may vary.

Enjoy the cozy cafe, coffee, and yummy treats. Barista always asks if you’d like a sprinkle of cocoa and cinnamon on your latte.
The service here is prompt and welcoming, and there’s an amazing selection of baked goods available. The wonderful aroma, both inside and outside, is always a treat. They have recently installed a roof over the outdoor patio, which will be ideal for the summer season. My only suggestion would be to put in a bike rack, as they are located right next to the canal trail, and bike parking should be just as easy as car parking!
Other than the fact that they don't have the option to buy a small-sized coffee, this place is on point. The overnight oats are superb. The coffee is robust and flavorful. Strong, too. Outside and indoor seating options. The girls are very attentive and pleasant. Very sweet and do their job well. Service: Dine in Meal type: Breakfast
I wish it was a bit bigger but not too big that it would take away from the vibe. Other than that, when I think of a coffee shop with great coffee, I think of this place and on a cold, rainy new England day. This is the perfect place for a scone and a cappuccino. Chef kisses... My advice is to slow down, try this place, talk to some people, and enjoy life. Also, this is not a paid advertisement Service: Dine in
