Description

Nestled at the top of Greetland village, the Spring Rock pub offers a mix of experiences for diners, ranging from cozy ambiance and hearty portions to inconsistent food quality and service. While some rave about its generous fish and chips and excellent steak and kidney pudding, others have faced delays and undercooked dishes. The knowledgeable staff and inviting decor enhance the dining experience, making it a favorite for casual gatherings, especially during festive times. However, customers caution about booking at late hours, as the menu can be limited and quality may vary. A hidden gem worth exploring, but check before you visit.

Had our Xmas party with friends, Xmas menu was fantastic and you could mix and match with regular menu. Also still get the free bottle of wine so we had 2 free! Made to feel very welcome, and will be using again in the new year. Would recommend.

Our favourite eatery in Yorkshire, always a pleasure to visit this well managed and friendly pub! Best steak and kidney pud on the planet, generous portions and as always delicious!

Arrived for lunch at 12.45.Couple of tables eating.Ordered and told that food would be 20 mins to half an hour.Fine we thought. 45 mins later it arrived (only 2 sandwiches and chips)-no apology for delay.Curly fries were cooked to a crisp. Used to be a lovely pub-not sure if it may have changed hands.Won’t return unfortunately. Heard lady tell waitress on next table that her pie was cold and she was told she would have to wait at least 10 minutes for another.

Located at the top of Greetland village in Halifax, this pub/restaurant offers a fantastic selection of local cask ales and lagers. Situated on the edge of Norland moors and nature reserve, visitors can park in the car park and enjoy a scenic walk to Norland village with breathtaking views of Halifax. The food here is top-notch, with generous portions that will satisfy even the biggest appetites. The fish and chips are cooked to perfection and the filet steak is a must-try. This friendly local pub is a hidden gem that is definitely worth a visit, but make sure to check with the reviewer before booking a table as it can get busy. The only downside is that last food orders are around 7pm and it closes at 9.30pm on weekdays, so be sure to check the opening hours before visiting.
