Top service. we also have the meal that was really excellent. after dinner we had the coffee in a native. two of them came to us. they are so interesting and nice and friendly. this is a really extraordinary place to go and I recommend it to one and all. thank you greta and eva.

Die drei Geschwister Greta, Eva und Leonie Sicher führen das Hotel und Res... read more Das Hotel Gotthard in Gurtnellen ist einzigartig in seiner Art, eben ein wahre Ikone. Die drei Geschwister Greta, Eva und Leonie Sicher führen das Hotel und Restaurant seit Jahrzenten. Ihre einheimische Küche wurde 2014 zu Recht mit 14 Gault Millau Punkten ausgezeichnet. Bei unserem Besuch liessen wir uns vom Wintermenü verwöhnen. Alles hausgemacht und mit viel Liebe zubereitet. Neben der ausgezeichneten Küche ist auch der Preis sensationell. CHF 60 für 4 Gänge, so etwas gibt’s in der Schweiz vermutlich nirgends mehr. Die doch etwas längere Anreise lohnt sich auf jeden Fall.

The only way you would visit here is if someone told you to go.The best word to describe this place antique . That 's not said in a bad way it just gives the place a certain charm. Food was very good, not the best in uri like the other reviewer wrote, but good. We had the bad luck on this evening to be placed right next to a biker club of 12 people!!?? And by bikers I mean Hells Angles.Not a way for a couple to enjoy a quiet meal, needless to say it was loud, very loud. When we asked If we could be moved to a free table in the back, (of which many were free) the answer from one of the sisters was, I quote; We are not here in the church, it is allowed to be loud. And no, we cannot move. ?!?!?!?If we haven 't driven an hour to get here I would have paid and left. The food made up for the evening, but it dosen 't make us want to come back again.
