For me, Koshari can't keep up with the original in Egypt. Which it doesn't have to be, but for me the sauce wasn't intense enough and was unfortunately very boring. I think the freshly roasted onions and the good sauces make a good koshari. That's what I totally missed with this Koshari. The onions had little flavor and were very limp. For me there was no difference to ready-made fried onions from the supermarket. On top of that, the lady behind the counter was so unfriendly. She didn't greet properly, didn't offer any help, This made you feel unwelcome and there was no feel-good atmosphere in the store. We just wanted to get out quickly. We paid around €6.30 for the small bowl, which is totally ok in terms of price.
The Koshari Bowl wasn 't really convincing. Way too oily, unbalanced ratio of rice and other ingredients. It is advertised that the Koshari is vegan (this was also confirmed upon request). After eating on the way to the toilet I could see that the package of pasta said egg pasta ... Price per person: €1–10 Food: 2 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 2
The place has it's charm. You can eat in or outside on the small terrace. Chicken wrap costs around 7 euros and I really enjoyed it. Also the guy working there was kind. If you're out for a quick bite I would recommend it : Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: €1–10
