After sewing long... read more Destination Grassano visit the Rocca. Charles Levi in: Christ stopped at Eboli, called Grassano a small Jerusalem in the solitude of a desert. After sewing long and wide the stomach began to protest. The surprise was that a restaurant bar had been opened by the name that attracts and intrigues: Itaca Bistrot. We came in. There was still room. Cozy room, we arrange and after a few minutes the lady arrives again. We recommend, with particular expertise, it proposes a few first and second. If you think of making a capatina remember that the service is great, the restaurant room is small and reserved, the rations are ... plentiful, finally, the red and slightly fresh vinello, was the classic cherry on the cake. The price reflects the service. All right!

After we tried 'Cece Nero ': Papardelle with black chickpeas sauce and crunchy pork-cheeck with pecorino 'Anatra Ubriaca ': slowcooked duck in Amaro Lucano liquor. Also they have excellent 'gelato artigianale ' (homemade ice cream) which i recommend to try. There is also a menu with diverse panini which we didnt try. Definitely try to have a table at the rooftop looking over the city and church on top. Very smiley and friendly service. The owner is passionate about his menu and job and his mother owns a B B (5 mins by foot) which i recccomend to stay. Love to return.
