Was John Gibson at Prospector's Steak a mag?
The $17 out the door fried chicken plate was the bomb! 18 oz of chicken nicely seasoned perfectly deep fried mashed potatoes and gravy half ear of corn, and if that wasn't enough, a freshly made freshly grilled. Buttered Biscuit. Mama shut my mouth. : View all feedback.

What Binit Banerjee dislikes about Prospector's Steak:
I visited this restaurant after a hike nearby and was impressed by the decor. The service was prompt, and the host was incredibly friendly. We started with the hot wings and followed the recommendation for the house special, which turned out to be fantastic. We also ordered the shrimp popcorn, and it did not disappoint. For our main course, we all opted for steaks. The sirloin steak was just okay, and the corn that a... View all feedback.

Expensive for typical bar-level food. Cluttered atmosphere.

One of the best hamburgers we've ever had! We were out for a ride and thought the place looked closed, but we decided to go in and share a hamburger. They make their own patties and bake their own buns. For just eleven bucks, it was a massive burger! It came with fries and easily fed both of us.

**Meal Type:** Breakfast **Price per Person:** $20–30 **Dining Options:** - Dine-In: Yes - Outdoor Seating: No - Takeout: Yes - Delivery: No - Curbside Pickup: Yes Overall, the experience was enjoyable with a solid selection for breakfast. The prices were reasonable, falling within the $20 to $30 range per person. While they do offer dine-in options, it's important to note that there is no outdoor seating available. The takeout service is convenient, and curbside pickup is a nice touch for those on the go. However, delivery isn't an option here. If you're in the mood for breakfast, this place is worth checking out!

I'm having a hard time not giving a 1 star. Thanks to the gal that ringed me out she earned them the second. I am thankful for her. For over a week I've been calling this place referencing free pool on Mondays and my big family (emphasizing that I will have minors with me which means we leave the facility at 8:30pm) and how we wanted to use the pool tables. In fact became acquainted with the waitresses/bartenders and was fond of them. So, this evening my family and I walk there. We order drinks, we're thinking dessert. I ask about free Monday pool. We politely accept that they no longer offer free pool. And I offer to fix their website. Because their website gave me that information. So we play anyways and complete our order for now. Kids are having a good time, playing respectfully... and the manager? Owner? Randomly out of nowhere after only about 30 minutes, came and told us the kids were not aloud to play pool. (We we're also using our own pool sticks that we brought with us) This was because previous children were not respectful while playing. Okay cool. Put up a sign then maybe? When I mentioned 2 times to her that their website (which I have a screenshot of before and after to prove this statement) said they offered free pool on Monday Nights she told me I was wrong. I indeed was correct. My kids cried and were extremely disappointed when we had to leave. Im gonna have a really hard time going back, and that's a bummer because we are a big family and local to the area hoping to have found a place to hang every now and then together. This isn't that place unfortunately.

The jukebox music is fantastic, the staff is friendly, and the bar drinks are exceptional. The portions of food are generously sized, and everything is fresh! I had the best peanut soup I've ever tasted!

I'm not sure how this restaurant can claim to be "family friendly" when they yell at parents in front of their children. We have a toddler with food allergies and asked our waitress to check whether the bread contained egg so we could consider ordering a grilled cheese. We've never had issues asking questions at any restaurant before, and we understand it's not their responsibility to keep our child safe. The waitress initially seemed willing to help, but when she came back from the kitchen, she loudly began lecturing us about how busy they were and that the cook couldn't check the bread because he had too many orders. My husband offered to check the ingredients himself but was met with yelling. Other diners started to stare, our daughter began to cry, and we decided to leave. On our way out, we encountered the owner in the parking lot and were discussing the terrible service with another table that had also left. When we explained what happened, he simply shrugged and said it sounded like they were too busy. If I could give zero stars, I would, but one star is the lowest option.

Excellent breakfast place with large plate size and welcoming staff. Chicken fried steak was awesome before a long day.

Wife and I stop by this place and split the Porterhouse on New Years Eve. I was thinking it was not difficult to cook a decent steak and not too many places around the area, let's try it. Big mistake. Is it possible to get Covid from food? I know I'll be sick tomorrow, just wanting to know how sick. None of the waiting staff, bar staff or kitchen staff were wearing masks properly. All of them either didn't have a mask or kept it under their chins the entire times. The place is a total dive and should just shut down. Dirty and gross. I'm sure breakfast is probably their bread and butter, but when you call ur self a Steak and Spirits place, I didn't know they meant they will try to kill u with the food. Stay away, spend the money at safer places down the road.
