Venue: The overall atmosphere is very modern, and I really liked the vibe. I appreciated the open kitchen where you can watch the chefs at work. I was seated outside as I had requested, and the patio was decent. There were plants and heating lamps to make it cozy, although the floor could use a thorough cleaning. Staff: The hostess was very presentable and welcoming, while my server was excellent—very attentive to my orders and quite efficient. Food: I ordered calamari, steak, and a Tequila Sunrise to drink. The calamari was well-seasoned, but I was a bit disappointed with the portion size; the pieces were quite small. The steak, priced over $40, accompanied by roasted potatoes and sautéed asparagus, felt a bit overpriced to me. I've had steak dishes for the same price with more sides (especially when compared to the picture I saw). That said, the steak was well-buttered and nicely seasoned, and the potatoes and asparagus were good too. The Tequila Sunrise was quite impressive, though it was a bit too sweet for my taste—I barely noticed any alcohol. Overall, I had a good experience and would consider returning for drinks and appetizers, especially during happy hour.
The restaurant and Nordstrom were closed for Easter, which shouldn't have allowed for reservations to be made. My elderly parents arrived 10 minutes before I did and found themselves waiting outside a closed Nordstrom with no place to sit. Fortunately, when I arrived, I was able to secure a table at Amici, located across from Nordstrom. While the meal wasn't what we had originally wanted to eat, it was still good. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience for our Easter brunch.
Terrible service overall. If you have two hours to waste, then go eat here. The staff and cooks spend more time on their phones than attending to customers, and it's really frustrating. If they put their phones away, the service would definitely improve, and more people would return because the food is quite good!
Located unassumingly inside the Nordstrom department as all Nordstrom stores have a bar verde). I've eaten at many Bar Verde locations and they all have consistently delicious food, a nice atmosphere, and a great place for lunch or dinner...especially after shopping . I'm always surprised at how great the food and service is. Thank you Nordstrom!
I recently dined at Verde Bar Restaurant, and it was a delightful experience. I started with their tomato soup, my personal favorite, which was simply exquisite. For my main course, I indulged in the chef's specialty, a mushroom and beef hamburger, which was a heavenly blend of flavors. Additionally, I sampled their classic chicken Caesar salad, and it was a refreshing and tasty choice. The overall dining experience at Verde Bar Restaurant was fantastic, and I highly recommend it for a satisfying meal with great options for all tastes.
